Lower Energy Requirements
The U-ParkIt NA energy requirements are calculated based on the number of Transversers required for any installation. Due to the superior electro-mechanical design, that electricity is consumed only when the parking system is physically parking or retrieving a vehicle. Electricity supply requirements can be as low as 63 amps depending on configuration and required speed. Other power wasting operations required on conventional concrete parking garages such as lighting for patrons, power for ventilation units and power for lifts to transport patrons are immediately removed with the U-ParkIt NA system.
Minimal internal lighting required for maintenance can be supplied (as per client request) using solar panels to battery backup. Additional emergency power can easily be supplied by using economical diesel generators to ensure continuous operation of the system if required. Also, because vehicles enter and exit at common points, outside lighting for patrons vehicles is negligible and of little cost to operators. The careful planning of this new technology also eliminates lighting otherwise required for associated walkways and stairs.
